Accommodation

The University Residence Halls and Apartments at University at Buffalo specialize in two types of housing—residence halls and apartments.

University_at_Buffalo_housingIf you are a first year or sophomore student, you will live in the traditional residence halls. Students live together in one, two, three or four person rooms. Kitchens, bathrooms, and lounges are shared with the community. Residence Hall floors are close-knit families where students learn to live with many others from all over the state, country, and world. Residence Hall Agreements (housing contracts) last for the fall and spring semester. The halls offer a unique, exciting, academic community designed for the student.

All students can live in the traditional halls but those with junior and above class standing are eligible for our apartments. In the apartments, you will have your own single bedroom in an apartment with up to four roommates. Each air-conditioned apartment has a kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave, living/dining area, and private baths shared with only one other person. Depending on the complex, apartments have 10 or 12-month contracts. Amenities, privacy, and independence are what make the apartments worth waiting for.
